Ahmad, a a financially challenged devoted zoologist at the struggling Giza Zoo, faces mounting economic pressures and the costly needs of his son Kamal’s special education as well as his wife’s unexpected pregnancy. Avidly concerned at the worsening conditions at the zoo and desperate to improve his financial situation, he reluctantly joins a scheme smuggling prized animals for Bou Khalid, an Emirati sheikh and avid collector who pitches himself as an animal lover. Believing the animals will be safer and hoping to secure his family’s future, Ahmad’s actions take a darker turn when he uncovers Bou Khalid’s true motives, throwing his life and family into chaos.
