Bruce Willis’ Once Upon a Time in Venice finds distributor
The Bruce Willis-led action comedy Once Upon a Time in Venice has found a distributor after RLJ Entertainment picked up the US rights to the movie.
The film which stars Willis as a detective in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles — along side John Goodman, Thomas Middleditch, Jason Momoa, Famke Janssen, Adam Goldberg, and Kal Penn – revolves around Willis’ dog getting kidnapped and how he teams up with criminal Jason Momoa to retrieve the pet.
The deal for the rights was negotiated by RLJ’s Mark Ward with Voltage Pictures president Jonathan Deckter.
Reported by Variety, Ward said about the project: “We are excited to work with such a talented ensemble cast, with Bruce Willis at its helm,” and that, “Bruce Willis is an iconic actor known for his action roles and impeccable comedic timing”.
Once Upon a Time in Venice is directed by Mark Cullen and is set for a theatrical and VOD release on June 16th.
